KUWAIT, June 7: Informed sources revealed that Kuwait will start in coming days a new stage after the end of the evacuation of its citizens, Kuwaitis will be allowed to travel outside the country within the conditions and regulations set by the concerned authorities.

The sources indicated that this measure comes after many citizens expressed their desire to travel abroad, especially with the end of the total ban period.

The diplomatic sources stated that thousands of expats of different nationalities should be leaving to their countries once the airport is opened and the flight are fully restarted.

The sources expected that the number would double after some countries announced to abolish requirement of institutional quarantine upon arrival and the confinement to home quarantine .

Earlier Minister of State for Services Affairs and Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs Mubarak Al-Haris announced Sunday a three progressive phases plan developed by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to re-operate commercial flights.

In a press statement after his meeting with DGCA officials, the minister said that the Kuwait International Airport will operate in the first stage at 30 percent of its capacity, then will rise to 60 percent in the second stage, and back to normal level in the third and final stage.

The minister affirmed that DGCA was keen, when developing the plan, to abide by the Cabinet decisions, taking into account adherence to the preventive and precautionary measures issued by the health authorities.(KUNA) -
