Kuwait club played with a squad of 11 players, including Ali Hussein, Fahd Al-Hajri, Bilal Aifa, and Taha Yassin Al-Khunisi. In the second half, Al-Qadisiyah improved their performance and threatened their opponent's goal. They were able to score the equalizer with a shot from outside the penalty area by Mali's Ibrahima Tandia in the 69th minute. The match was managed by the Greek referee, Anastasios, who made sound decisions, including two red cards issued to Rashid Al-Dosari and Ali Hussein in the 92nd and 95th minutes, respectively.
