KUWAIT CITY, Feb 11: Chairman of the Kuwait Pharmaceutical Association (KUPHA), Dr Hani Zakaria was quoted as saying the rate of addiction over the past three years has increased by 25 percent, although no accurate statistics to monitor the rate of addiction in Kuwait are available, reports Al-Seyassah daily. Dr Zakaria said Kuwait will next month launch the awareness campaigns to fight addiction and abuse of narcotic drugs. He added, this is a five year project.Tattoo-maker held: The Rabiya police have arrested a Filipino for making tattoos inside his home without a license, reports Al-Shahed daily. Investigations carried out by the police showed the man was making tattoos inside his home for the past three years and charged KD 500 maximum for making tattoos on the body. He has been handed over to the concerned authorities.
