KUWAIT CITY, Dec 3: A gang of Ethiopians were arrested for inciting domestic workers to escape from their sponsors and earn money by indulging in immoral activities, reports Al- Seyassah daily. According to security sources, when officers from General Department for Residency Affairs received information about an Ethiopian woman running a prostitution ring with the help of one of her compatriots, a team was immediately formed for investigations.
After the matter was confirmed, the officers took necessary legal documents and raided several apartments. They arrested 12 individuals involved in prostitution and four others who violated the residency law. They were all referred to the concerned authorities where necessary measures have been taken against them.
An unidentified Kuwaiti, who arrived at the Kuwait International Airport from Syria via Turkey, was arrested and whisked away for interrogation at the State Security police, reports Al-Shahed daily. According to security sources, the man had left Kuwait to join a terrorist organization and was subsequently put on the list of people wanted by law. Sources said that state securitymen arrested him immediately after returning back and referred him to the Investigations Office. The sources added, the man was involved in taking some video footage during conflicts. He is also believed to be one of the leaders of a terrorist organization.
