RIYADH, March 2 (KUNA) -- The Saudi Ministry of Health announced on Monday the first coronavirus case of a citizen coming from Iran via Bahrain.
In a statement, the ministry said that within the framework of the precautionary measures in place, it sent an infection control team at once to check on the citizen and take a sample for the laboratory examination through which it was confirmed that he was infected with the virus.
The ministry affirmed that the citizen is currently isolated in the hospital, being dealt with and provided with health care in accordance with the approved health procedures, the statement added.
It also pointed out that all people who contacted the infected citizen were taken for examination by the National Center for Disease Prevention and Control, and all results will be announced upon completion.

Qatar

Meanwhile Four persons have tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), taking to seven the total number of infections in Qatar, the Ministry of Public Health announced on Monday.
The new cases involve two Qatari nationals, who arrived from Iran aboard a private flight on February 27, and two foreign housekeepers accompanying them on a foreign trip.
All arriving nationals aboard the flight were evacuated from Iran due to the outbreak of COVID-19 there; they have been kept in quarantine since their arrival, the Ministry said in a statement.
The seven patients receive treatment at a communicable disease center and their health conditions are stable, it added.

Oman
Oman on Monday announced curing two cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) infections out of six recorded cases in the country.
There are currently 2,367 patients in quarantine, 49 being in institutional quarantine and 2,318 others at home, said Omani Health Minister Ahmad Al-Saeedi in a statement.
The country will continue to put people coming from China, South Korea, Iran and Italy under quarantine, he added.
