KUWAIT CITY, June 16: His Excellency Sheikh Talal Al-Khalid, the Minister of Interior, has emphasized the crucial role of security personnel as an unyielding barrier against individuals who seek to spread harmful substances among our youth.

In a significant operation, the General Department for Drug Control, under the supervision of the Criminal Security Sector, successfully apprehended seven suspects in possession of approximately 13,500 kilograms of various narcotics. Additionally, they confiscated 2,500 tablets of psychotropic substances and two firearms.

During the interrogation, the defendants admitted to owning the seized items with the intention of trafficking and misuse. Consequently, both the individuals and the confiscated items have been handed over to the appropriate authorities for necessary legal actions.

His Excellency Sheikh Talal Al-Khalid Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah reaffirmed that the security forces act as an impenetrable barrier, preventing anyone from spreading harmful substances among our youth. He emphasized the importance of collective efforts to eliminate drug dealers and promoters.
