Arrivals for expats scheduled on 1st Aug

KUWAIT CITY, Jul 1: Although the Council of Ministers announced the operation of commercial flights at Kuwait airport, starting from August 1 for arrivals operating at 30% of its capacity for those expats who wish to return to Kuwait the details have not been clarified yet.

An official source stated that the mechanisms for those expats who wish to return require coordination with the Ministry of Health to know the preventive measures and conditions required and the approved examination methods upon their arrival, despite the requirement to bring a PCR certificate proving that they are free from Coronavirus prior to their arrival in the country.

How many expats will be allowed to return on daily basis, the source said that the matter is still unresolved.

According to the source, the Civil Aviation Department stated that 42 local and international airlines have been told to submit requests to operate its commercial flights, including the flight details, the number of passengers and the crew of the plane.

This step aims to determine the number of flights during August and give official approvals to them according to the civil aviation plan.

The source stated that currently it is not possible to book travel dates for the month of August through travel agencies as it is necessary to approve the flights of the airlines.
