KUWAIT CITY, May 11: Customs officers at Kuwait International Airport arrested an Asian man for trying to smuggle one kilogram of marijuana. The officers got suspicious when they noticed the agitated demeanor of the Asian when he approached the luggage inspection counter. The officers then inspected the suspect’s luggage where they found the marijuana hidden among his clothes. During interrogation, the suspect confessed that his intention was to sell the marijuana. He was referred to the Drug Control General Department. In another incident, the customs officers arrested a European national working in a leading company as he was found to be carrying two bottles of imported alcohol upon his arrival at the airport.

Two get death: The Criminal Court Tuesday sentenced two Egyptians to death for smuggling huge quantities of drugs into the country, reports Al-Rai daily. According to case papers police acting on information began investigations and managed to arrest one of the suspects when he entered the country with a truck from Iraq. In the truck there was a huge quantity of drugs hidden in secret compartment. During preliminary interrogation he admitted to the charge and gave police the name of his accomplice who was waiting to receive the shipment.
