ABU DHABI, April 12: The UAE reported on Sunday two coronavirus (COVID-19) deaths, putting the total at 22 within the last 24 hours.
The Emirati authorities announced that 387 cases of infection and thus the total reached 4,123.
The UAE had conducted over 22,000 tests for citizens and expatriates as part of the effort to battle the virus spread.
Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia announced, Sunday, the seventh death from the Coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing the total number to 59.
According to Health authorities, infections hit 4,462 with 429 new cases.
Recoveries in Saudi Arabia are at 761 after 41 individuals overcome the disease.
In the Kingdom, there are 65 cases under intensive care
Qatar
Up to 216 persons were diagnosed of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and 20 cases recovered, Qatari Ministry of Health said on Saturday.
The ministry said in a statement number of persons who contracted the contagious virus reached 2,728, including Qataris who returned from abroad and were quarantined. Other cases in the tally belonged to persons who were within close proximity with these returnees.
Newly diagnosed patients have been quarantined to get prescribed medical treatment.
Moreover, the health ministry declared recording 20 recovery cases raising the total number of the recuperated individuals to 247.
Bahrain
A total of 47 persons have tested positive of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) while medical examination showed recovery of two cases, the Bahraini Ministry of Health said on Sunday.
The ministry said on its Twitter account total number of coronavirus patients who recuperated reached 557 after recording the two new cases who were discharged from quarantine.
Existing infection cases reached 524, including 520 in stable condition and four who remained under medical care.
The ministry, on Friday, declared the sixth fatality caused by the virus, saying it was of a Bahraini aged 63 who had suffered from other ailments.
Oman
The Sultanate of Oman announced, Saturday, the discovery of 53 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing the total number of infections to 599.
According to the Oman News Agency (ONA), the number of cases recovering from the coronavirus was at 109, with three deaths.(KUNA)
