KUWAIT CITY, Dec 30 : The Ministry of Finance worked on the unified tax procedures draft law, which includes the proposal to establish a public authority with a legal characteristic under the name, General Tax Authority, that will be under the supervision of the ministry, reports Al-Anba daily quoting sources.
Sources indicated that the Unified Tax Procedures Law is among the legislative requirements in the development plan. Sources clarified this does not mean imposing new taxes, as it rather focuses on better and additional professional practices for the tax sector in Kuwait through the ratification of a law regulated with standardized procedures. Sources disclosed the proposal states that the authority will have a main center, while one or more offices could be established in each governorate.
