Ghebreyesus, at a news conference in Geneva, said the support of the State of Kuwait would further boost WHO's fight against coronavirus, also known as COVID-19.

He said the world was living in a new reality which completely changed lives of people, but compliance with preventive guidelines would contribute to overcoming this crisis.

Ghebreyesus meanwhile urged the youth not to gather in public areas in order to avoid transmission of the virus.
He commended many companies and e-trade firms for their support of WHO.

WHO said around 210,000 people were infected by the virus, which claimed the lives of 8,778 people.
Infections declined in south east Asian countries in the past 24 hours, but surged in Europe.
