Workers nabbed, groceries seized

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 27: A campaign organized by the joint committee comprising personnel from the Public Authority for Manpower, the General Administration of Residence Affairs, the Kuwait Municipality and the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition, resulted in the arrest of 16 violating workers, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily quoting sources said legal measures have been taken against these employees.

The arrest came following an inspection tour of the mobile groceries in the Wafra agricultural area to ensure and check to what extent the owners of these groceries were committed to laws and regulations and verify their commitment to the safety and health of citizens and residents. The grocery workers were arrested and their vehicles were towed to the Municipal garage.
